Welcome Class of 2022! VU 101: Week 1

WELCOME TO VILLANOVA CLASS OF 2022!

The Office of First and Second Year Initiatives will be sending you emails throughout the summer to keep you updated on important information and help you prepare to arrive on campus in August. These emails will include upcoming deadlines and details about campus opportunities. So, make sure to check your email frequently and read through the information. We know you have a busy summer ahead of you, and we promise to keep these valuable emails brief!

Move-In: Wednesday, August 22

You will receive a hangtag in the mail later in the summer with your assigned time to arrive on campus to move into your residence hall. Packing, traveling, waiting in line, and unpacking can make it feel like a very long day. We encourage parents to stay overnight in a hotel room if they are traveling from a long distance so they can be fresh for Parents Orientation on Thursday, August 23.

Opening Day of Orientation: Thursday, August 23 (for parents and students)

Parents Orientation includes info sessions, special events and a resource fair in the morning. Students and parents kick-off the Orientation program with the University Welcome at 1:15pm and continue throughout the day, closing with mass and a picnic. The picnic will conclude around 6:30pm with students continuing with the Orientation program and parents will depart from campus.

Orientation: Friday, August 24-Sunday, August 26 (continues for students)

These three days will be spent in an Orientation group, led by an Orientation Counselor (OC) navigating the ins and outs of our campus. New students will attend events hosted by their academic deans, presentations about resources and campus life by our student life team, enjoy evening entertainment, and participate in one of Villanova’s favorite traditions, the Commissioning Ceremony for the Class of 2022.
